1. Getting Started

Before first use, charge the base unit for 1–2 hours using the included USB-A to USB-C cable. You can still use your Beväge while it is charging.

Yes. Beväge can be used either while plugged in or on battery power. Just make sure the power switch on the back of the unit is turned on.

The battery gauge shows the remaining charge level.

  • 5 lights = 100%
  • 4 lights = 80%
  • 3 lights = 60%
  • 2 lights = 40%
  • 1 light = 20%

During charging, the lights will blink to indicate the current charge level until the battery is fully charged.

2. Compatible Beverages

Beväge works with all wines, including red, white, and rosé, as well as spirits such as whiskey, tequila, vodka, brandy, and cognac. It can also be used with juices, kombucha, and vinegars.

Yes. Avoid highly viscous liquids such as smoothies and shakes. These can interfere with the S-Velocity spinner and prevent it from reaching Optimum Speed Rotation.

Yes. Beväge can be used with older and higher-end wines and spirits. In many cases, older vintages need less time than younger ones. As a general rule, a 20-year-old wine may require only about 50% of the recommended time.

Yes, but the spin speed should be reduced to help preserve carbonation. This is recommended for drinks such as champagne, beer, soda, and kombucha.

After starting the rotation, press and hold the minus button for 1–2 seconds. A minus symbol will appear in the top right of the display, confirming slower speed mode is active.

To return to standard speed, press and hold the plus button for 1–2 seconds until the minus symbol disappears.

3. Using the Decanter

Fill the Beväge decanter only up to the Max fill line. This line is located just below the Beväge logo on the glass.

Filling above this level can reduce airflow and increase liquid weight, which may prevent the unit from reaching optimal spinning performance.

Yes, the Beväge decanter can be used as a standalone decanter. However, it will not deliver the full Beväge experience without the base unit.

No. For proper performance, the Beväge Pro base must be used with an official Beväge proprietary decanter. Other decanters do not include the patented S-Velocity spinner and will not deliver optimal results.

Leave the stopper off during use. This allows better airflow into the decanter and helps Beväge perform as intended.

Use the sediment screen when pouring older wines or liquids that may contain sediment or cork particles. It helps prevent unwanted material from entering the decanter.

The measuring marks help you measure pours directly in the decanter.

For the 750 ml decanter, the marks indicate:

  • 750 ml
  • 12 oz
  • 8 oz
  • 6 oz
  • 4 oz

For the 375 ml decanter, the marks indicate:

  • 375 ml
  • 8 oz
  • 6 oz
  • 4 oz

The Beväge Pro remembers the remaining time. This allows you to pause, taste, and then place the decanter back on the base if you want to continue.

4. Time, Aging, and Decanting

Recommended times vary by beverage type and age. Use the official Recommended Time Guide for the best starting point.

It is possible to use Beväge for too long. If that happens and the beverage tastes less dynamic than expected, let it rest for approximately 5–7 minutes after the cycle ends. This may help it return to a more balanced tasting profile.

No. For proper performance, the Beväge Pro base must be used with an official Beväge proprietary decanter. Other decanters do not include the patented S-Velocity spinner and will not deliver optimal results.

Beväge combines two functions:

  • Aging technology (WAT™) delivers most of the functional benefit. It helps create balance, complexity, and a more refined tasting experience.
  • Decanting technology (OSR™) enhances softness and drinkability, especially in younger wines, by improving aeration and rotation.

Decanting helps, but it is not the same as true aging. Beväge is designed to do both.

6. Charging and Travel

Yes. The base unit includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and should be plugged in before first use to fully charge it.

Once charged, it can operate for up to 4.5 hours of continuous use.

No. Do not use a fast-charge USB-C adapter. Beväge Pro is designed to be used with the included USB-A to USB-C cable and a standard USB-A power adapter.

Using the wrong charger can cause damage and may create a fire risk.

If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or another qualified professional.

Yes. The base unit contains a lithium-ion battery, so it must be packed in your carry-on luggage only. Do not place it in checked baggage.

Do not attempt to remove the battery from the base unit.

7. Sound and Controls

After starting a cycle, tap the reset button and hold it for 3–4 seconds. When the speaker icon disappears from the display, the completion tone is muted.

The sound will stay off until you repeat the process to turn it back on.

Yes. Some noise during operation is expected. It is part of the design and helps achieve the intended vortex and spinning performance.

8. Cleaning and Care

Yes. The glassware is lead-free and dishwasher safe.

That said, many wine and spirit drinkers prefer hand washing without soap to avoid any residual taste.

Do not submerge the base unit in water. You may use soap when cleaning the exterior, but do not use harsh cleaners, abrasive products, or sharp tools.

Always unplug the charging cable before cleaning or performing maintenance.

Yes. Do not throw away the cardboard sleeve located inside the decanter around the S-Velocity spinner.

In the unlikely event that the spinner becomes dislodged, this sleeve is needed for easy reinstallation.

9. Warranty and Support

Yes. Beväge is covered by a limited warranty from the date of purchase for defects in materials or workmanship, subject to the terms in the owner’s manual.

Bevage LLC may, at its discretion, repair the product, replace it with the same or a comparable model, or provide another remedy as outlined in the warranty terms.

No. Do not return the product to the retail location where it was purchased. Warranty claims must be handled directly through Bevage support.
